My group made a video a couple weeks ago about a war novel called The Things They Carried. Since the book is about war, of course there is going to be violence in our video. We shot the scenes that we liked out of the book. The weapons we used were toys. (nerf guns, power ranger guns). After we posted the video on youtube, I got called into the principals office for some controversy over the video. The lady (principal) started off by saying that our singing was bad, being totally serious. After hearing that insult I was insincere about the whole subject while talking to them. I hope she feels dumb about what she said. Anyways we're gonna make part II soon and I hope she sees it.

It's Sami from class.
Was checking out everyone's blogs, and just thought I'd let you know that personally, I thought the singing was wicked sweet/cute. I thought it took a lot of backbone for all of you to do that, and it's definitely not something I could have done. I sent the video to several of my friends from my old school who haven't even read the book, and a lot of them said the singing was their favorite part.

mkay so first of all i love your video and i hate the lady (her name will not be mentioned). personally, she shouldnt speak, but i mean, thats just me. i went to the last board meeting and sat and listened while the very dense board members talked bad about those war books in which they knew absolutely nothing about and im ready to go back and defend the videos such as yours. =] these adult administrators need to get their game up to par.. i mean come on now.. why cant they just be amazing at life like krieger?
