My Job

I have a pretty sweet job for a high school student. I sell major appliances at Kmart. I am employed by Sears, but am located at Kmart, its a tough thing to explain. I really like my job because most of the time I get paid to stand there and look snazzy in my work attire. Men in my department are required to wear shirt , tie etc. The duties that come with this job is of course to sell, and talk to the customers. I'm lucky to get a nice wage plus commission for the stuff I sell. The work schedule is lenient too, which is necessary for school, sports and weekends. So if anyone needs a washer, dryer, or refrigerator just holler! (i'll give you a discount)

Building a Perfect Snowman

Since we're gonna have a lot of snow, why not share our ideas of what a perfect snowman should look like. I prefer my snowman to be atleast as tall as me. I am six feet tall so it might take awhile if I do it alone. But everyone knows its against the rules to build one alone. I just roll the snow until its roundish and stack them on top of each other. Then after the body is formed, I go for other features. For arms, it depends on what supplies I have at my disposal. I could either use sticks or shovels. For the face, whatever is in my refrigerator will work. I use a carrot as the nose. Then after its done, I leave my masterpiece outside and reminisce on other times I built a snowman. After a couple days, I tackle or dropkick the snowman apart, so he doesn't have to suffer in the cold anymore.

Catchy Tunes

I'm a big fan of hip hop and R&B music. I don't really like Rihanna, but her song "Don't Stop the Music" is pretty sweet. If it came on at a dance or in a club, nobody would be standing still. Its a got a strong background melody that will surely make you get down. Another song that is good is "Superstar" by Lupe Fiasco. Catchy beat, awesome hook, just good overall song in my opinion. I'd bump those songs in my car anytime.

Ok.

I'm gonna start posting more. This one doesn't count though.

TV Shows

I miss a lot of the old shows that were on nickelodeon. My favorite cartoon of all time is Rugrats. I remember all those little fun adventures they would go on, it was great. Kenan and Kel was also one of my favorites. I don't watch too much tv now, but I occasionally watch Spongebob because its hilarious. I also watch food network and espn if I have absolutely nothing else to do.

Skittles Commercial

For some reason, this commercial is still funny to me. I think it would be pretty cool to have someone that can do this for real.

Dream Job

I don't know what I want to be after I'm done with school. Being a hip hop artist would be cool but I can't rap or sing at all. I guess an alternative to that would be a successful business man. I want to have a business of my own and make tons of money. I could possibly invent something so innovative that my business gets off of its feet in a short amount of time. Thats my dream job for now, but I know its gonna change every week until graduation.

Can't Wait Until Spring

I'm sick of this weather, its cold and gloomy out. Well today atleast the sun is shining. I can't wait until spring, I miss that type of weather a lot. I want to sit under a tree's shade and relax in 75 degree weather. I know for a fact me and the guys are gonna chill outside and have some acoustic jam sessions once its warmer out. I'm getting an acoustic bass, which is gonna make our acoustic sessions sound even sweeter. We have all the tools to do this, so if you're a musician that just wants to enjoy the weather and play your favorite songs, get at us. Davis is always down to play so you can talk to him too. But for now we just have to be patient.

Snooooooooop

As we all know, Snoop Dogg is coming to Magic City Music Hall on 2/24/08. Its awesome that hes coming to Johnson City. He probably isn't making a lot of money off of doing a concert at this kind of venue so he's doing it for the fans. It doesn't cost much to go see him in concert either. Its $30 for a ticket, and $40 at the door. The place is gonna be packed with people all over Broome county. I'm going right when the doors open so I can be right upfront and possibly give daps to Snoop when hes interacting with the crowd. Plus I can show off my c-walk.

My Music

My music taste is pretty diverse. I'm a huge fan of Bob Marley, Jay-Z and Michael Jackson. I listen to pretty much everything, basically whatever is "music to my ears." I've been listening to a couple bands in particular as of late. Kings of Leon and Radiohead are the main ones. Michael Franti & Spearhead and Jason Mraz have some good music too. I have a bunch of instruments that I should play more often. I have a couple guitars, percussion stuff and a melodica. A melodica is like a mixture of a harmonica and piano. Its pretty sweet, I'm gonna start playing it more often. Maybe I'll make some music and post it on here sometime.

Valentine's Day

Sweetness. Lets fall in love. I can serenade you with my guitar and sweep you off your feet with my voice. Just kidding, but today was nice seeing all the singing telegrams and stuff. I had no idea people around this school had good voices. I also saw a lot of people wearing red and pink. Sidenote: I got in trouble today during senior study hall. The art teacher (some asshole with a gay earring) kept yelling at me for stuff over and over. So I gave him attitude and pissed him off, then left. Anyways, its a shame that Valentine's Day is once a year because who doesn't like chocolate, flowers, hugs and kisses?

Education

I think education is very important. A basic education is needed to become even the least bit successful. I learn a lot from the classes I take this year, even though I hate doing the work. Two classes that aren't a problem to me are Communications and Music Tech. Music tech is cool because you get to learn all of the business things that have to be dealt with when in the music industry. Plus you get to produce and edit your own music.

Communications Project

My group made a video a couple weeks ago about a war novel called The Things They Carried. Since the book is about war, of course there is going to be violence in our video. We shot the scenes that we liked out of the book. The weapons we used were toys. (nerf guns, power ranger guns). After we posted the video on youtube, I got called into the principals office for some controversy over the video. The lady (principal) started off by saying that our singing was bad, being totally serious. After hearing that insult I was insincere about the whole subject while talking to them. I hope she feels dumb about what she said. Anyways we're gonna make part II soon and I hope she sees it.
